what I did about my core today!

2 sets of 20 tuck ins
2 sets of 20 crunches
2 sets of 10 twisting crunches

2 sets of 30 dorsal (back) raises

2 sets of 20 side leg raises right side
2 sets of 20 side leg raises left side

3 minutes of front support (1 minute at a time)

3 minutes of free standing handstands (no wall support) 45 seconds at a time

1 minute of face to the wall handstand

1 minute of dish hold

1 minute of dorsal hold

...tired now

off to meet some climbers at the cinema to watch 127 Hours :)

  1. If your at the wall you can try what Neil Gresham recommends

    stand on 2 small chips and walk your hands up on jugs. might be good to gauge improvement.

And to add to that - and help transfer all that work you're doing (think of it like fingerboarding - you get a really strong core or fingers, but getting that extra strength to work while climbing takes some transfer skills): work on a steep wall on only the chips (like what Simon said) or do some climbing around on bigger holds but as stretched out as you can and make sure your feet don't skip off.
